Vessel Traffic Service Operator
Detect vessels approaching the VTS area, establish communication with them, and obtain vessel data. Provide vessels with navigational, operational, and other information at the initiative of the VTS or upon a vessel's request. Organize vessel traffic and provide assistance in navigation. Monitor vessel movement and the position of vessels at anchorages and offshore mooring facilities. Assist in conducting search and rescue operations and works to localize the consequences of water area pollution in the seaport. Assist in establishing communication between vessels, shore organizations, and services. Collect, process, and document information and statistical data on vessel movement.
Requirements
Maritime education (navigator), preferably higher education. Valid professional diploma. Preferably Captain or Chief Officer. Knowledge of English at a professional level.
