Import Manager

A retail company is looking for an Import Manager.

Job Description: Overall responsibility for managing the company's import processes from end to end, while ensuring continuous supply, meeting deadlines, optimizing costs, and coordinating between all parties involved in the supply chain.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Managing import processes from the stage of ordering goods until their arrival at the company's warehouses.
• Routine work with overseas suppliers, international freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping companies.
• Monitoring and controlling orders, shipments, and schedules.
• Handling import documents, including invoices, Packing List, bills of lading, standard approvals, and required licenses.
• Responsibility for goods clearance processes from customs.
• Negotiating and controlling import, transportation, storage, and tax costs.
• Working with regulatory bodies and government entities as needed.
• Managing and controlling In Transit inventory.
• Problem-solving and handling exceptions in import and supply processes.
• Routine work with the trade, supply chain, finance, and sales departments.
• Generating reports, data analysis, and monitoring performance indicators.
• Initiating and leading efficiency processes in the import and supply chain field.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering and Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field – Mandatory.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in the import field – Mandatory.
• Experience working with overseas suppliers and international freight forwarders – Mandatory.
• Experience in retail/commercial companies – Significant advantage.
• Familiarity with customs processes, regulation, and goods clearance – Mandatory.
• Full proficiency in Excel – Mandatory.
• Experience working with ERP systems, with an emphasis on SAP – Advantage.
• High level of English (reading, writing, and speaking) – Mandatory.
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple interfaces.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
