Procurement Manager

Kameda, an international biopharmaceutical company with a portfolio of commercial products for the treatment of severe and rare diseases, a leader in the field of unique plasma products, is looking for a Procurement Manager, reporting to the company's CFO.

The Procurement Manager is responsible for planning, leading, and implementing the company's global procurement strategy while supporting operational, quality, and growth goals, cost optimization, and managing partnerships with interfaces within and outside the company, including local and global suppliers, and all departments within the company, all while adhering to strict regulatory standards.

Main areas of responsibility:

• Strategic procurement leadership: Developing and implementing a comprehensive procurement strategy derived from the company's goals, including procurement strategies for raw materials, packaging materials, equipment, and services.
• Comprehensive management of suppliers and service providers: Establishing and managing supplier qualification and performance frameworks; leading supplier assessments, audits, and risk assessments in coordination with the Quality department; negotiating commercial agreements, framework agreements, and long-term supply contracts; building strong strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
• Regulatory and quality compliance: Ensuring compliance with GMP, GDP, FDA, EMA, and ICH standards.
• Construction and management of procurement budgets: Initiating cost optimization initiatives, forecasting, and expense analysis.
• Systems, processes, and corporate governance: Managing organizational procurement systems (ERP, P2P) including promoting and improving processes.
• Risk management to maintain business continuity: Including developing alternative plans for handling crises and/or supply disruptions.
• Management and development of the procurement team: Including management of managers. Mentoring and developing the team, setting and meeting goals, and personal and professional management.

The role requires commuting to the company's offices in Rehovot and the company's plant in Kibbutz Beit Kama. The work week includes one day of working from home.

Job requirements:

• Academic education in relevant fields: Industrial Engineering and Management, Business Administration, Law, Supply Chain, or related fields; Master's degree or other procurement certifications (CPSM/CPM/CSPAI) - advantage.
• Proven experience of at least five years in a procurement management role in a commercial industrial company.
• Familiarity and/or proven experience working in the pharma industry is a significant advantage.
• Fluent English (speaking, writing, and reading) - mandatory.
