SCADA/EMS Engineer

The Cooperative is searching for a graduate electrical/mechanical engineer or automation engineer (AEI, 5-year studies), for employment at HEDNO.

Job Description

Development of Energy Control Systems (SCADA-EMS), with the design and development of energy management applications.

Analysis of system interface requirements with other third-party business systems, design and onsite supervision of the interconnection of control systems for production stations, for the real-time management of their production.

Management of operational reporting data of island systems (e.g., power generation, unit dispatch commands) and their analysis with the extraction of appropriate indicators (KPIs), for use in improving power generation management.

The employment requires 5-day physical presence at the HEDNO offices in Athens.

Within the framework of employment, short-term off-site transfers may also be required (indicative frequency: 1 trip / 2 months).

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or automation engineering (5-year studies)
• License to practice the profession of TEE
• Excellent knowledge of the English language
• At least 5 years of experience related to the undergraduate degree and 3 years of experience in SCADA systems and/or data management
• Good knowledge of Python and SQL

Qualifications that will be positively considered:

• Postgraduate degree in a subject related to the undergraduate degree
• Knowledge and basic understanding of secure telecommunications networks
