Project Engineer

The Cooperative is searching for a graduate electrical/mechanical/civil engineer, for employment at DEDDIE as a project engineer.

Job Description

The central object of the position is to support the Project Manager in the planning, coordination, and implementation of distribution network projects (e.g., substations, distribution centers, distribution lines), participating in the entire project lifecycle (preparation, design, execution, progress monitoring, closure).

Support the design and preparation of projects through participation in the formulation of schedules, budgets, risk analyses, technical studies, and tender documents, as well as in the project maturation process.

Monitor the daily progress and quality of projects, ensuring compliance with approved studies, technical specifications, schedules, and contractual obligations, through participation in site inspections and surveys, recording technical issues and proposing solutions to the Project Manager.

Coordinate contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders, monitoring project progress and ensuring the timely submission and approval of technical studies, drawings, and other deliverables.

Manage technical issues, changes, and project risks, evaluating technical proposals, recommending solutions, and supporting the Project Manager in making technical decisions.

Monitor the financial aspect of the project through the control of measurements, certifications, contractor invoices, and the monitoring of costs and deviations in collaboration with the Project Manager.

Draft and maintain technical progress reports and project performance indicators, maintain an organized archive of technical documents, drawings, and correspondence, as well as update project monitoring systems.

The employment requires 5-day physical presence at the DEDDIE offices in Athens.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in electrical/mechanical/civil engineering
• Professional license to practice
• Very good knowledge of the English language
• At least 3 years of experience in the management or supervision of energy projects or technical infrastructure projects or related subject matter
• Knowledge of MS Office, Project Management Tools (e.g., MS Project) and AutoCAD

Qualifications that will be positively considered:

• Postgraduate degree in a subject related to the undergraduate degree
• PMP certification
• Knowledge of SAP ERP
