Metrology Engineer

Conducting the practical part of testing for the purpose of type approval of electrical and radio measurement equipment, frequency and time, and temperature. Developing a package of documents for the purpose of type approval in accordance with the requirements of the Minpromtorg Order No. 2905-2020. Translating technical documentation for new equipment where applicable and adapting the presented metrological and technical characteristics for conducting testing for the purpose of type approval. Using automation methods for processing and documenting measurement, control, and testing results applied within the company.

Requirements

Higher radio engineering education in an applied or related specialty for the electrical and radio measurement industry (electronics engineer, radio engineer, metrologist). At least 3 years of experience in the field of metrology or a related field (testing for the purpose of type approval, documentation expertise, verification, calibration, maintenance, or repair of measuring instruments). Compliance with the accreditation criteria set forth in Order No. 707 of the Minpromtorg of the Russian Federation. Knowledge and ability to work with measuring instruments in the field of radio and electrical measurements, frequency and time, and temperature; knowledge of the physical principles of operation and the field of application of measuring instruments. Proficiency in technical English. Knowledge of the basics of metrology and legislative metrology. Knowledge of the rules for drafting design and technical documentation. Knowledge of the regulatory framework in the field of metrological support and testing for the purpose of type approval of measuring instruments. Confident PC user, knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and applied programs for metrology and design.
