Medical Instrumentation Engineer for the Medical Engineering Department at Ichilov

The Medical Instrumentation Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the proper and safe functioning of a wide range of medical devices. The role requires familiarity with the field of engineering, specifically in medical instrumentation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Job Description:

• Performing routine and preventive maintenance of various medical devices.
• Troubleshooting and repairing medical devices, including ordering and installing spare parts.
• Performing periodic treatments for medical devices, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
• Recommending and implementing service agreements for medical instrumentation.
• Accurate documentation of all actions and repairs and recording of the instrumentation.
• Collaboration with other medical and engineering teams, such as doctors, nurses, support staff, etc.
• Participation in the installation of new medical devices.
• Providing training to medical teams on the correct use of devices.
• Supervising the contact with the supplier according to agreements.
• Consulting and training various users.
• Generating computer reports, data analysis ( EXCEL ), and creating presentations ( POWER POINT ).
• Performing additional tasks as directed by the manager.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant engineering field - Mandatory.
• Proficiency in technical English - Mandatory.
• Previous experience in the field of medical instrumentation maintenance, preferably in a hospital environment - Significant advantage.
• Experience working with a wide range of medical devices - Advantage.
• Experience as a service engineer in medical instrumentation - Significant advantage.
• Experience in the field of electronics - Advantage.
• Knowledge and experience in computer operation and use of OFFICE software.

Knowledge and Expertise:

• Deep knowledge in the fields of electronics, electricity, mechanics, and computers.
• Deep understanding of safety regulations and relevant medical standards - Advantage.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical diagrams.
• Proficiency in technical English.

Scope of employment: Full-time, Sun-Thu.
