Civil Engineer, Substation Design (Substation Design Engineer - Civil Works)

• Prepare detailed layout drawings for substation equipment, including foundations and related structures, along with various calculation reports, to be completed according to the work plan.
• Design and prepare steel and reinforced concrete structures for power plants, substations, equipment foundations, pipe support structures, and substation control buildings, including clearing designs during construction.
• Develop conceptual designs into detailed engineering documents, including preparing calculation sheets, construction drawings, and related supporting documents.
• Support construction operations, including preparing construction specifications and cost estimations.
• Plan and execute engineering schedules for each project to ensure timely delivery within budget, customer specifications, and equipment constraints.
• Conduct site surveys before submitting price proposals to customers, prepare technical documents, and respond to inquiries or clarify technical details to relevant parties.
• Support cost estimation and project cost management, including evaluating and improving electrical system approaches based on technical knowledge.
• Collaborate in preparing and delivering tender documents to customers within the deadline and with quality, such as technical proposals, Bill of Quantities, project plans, and price schedules.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (estimation) for civil work quotations and prepare Bill of Quantities (estimation) to be used as a median price.
• Prepare Blank BOQ to be sent to contractors for the procurement process of suitable contractors and subcontractors for civil works to carry out substation construction according to the plan.
• Resolve various problems occurring during civil works and report them to Project Management.
• Verify variation orders (additions/deductions) and verify payments for contractors regarding civil-related works.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Possession of a professional engineering license (Associate Engineer level or higher) will be given special consideration. 0-3 years of experience in civil or structural engineering for substations, specifically in design and engineering. Knowledge and understanding of international engineering standards such as IEEE, IEC, ANSI, CIGRE, including substation construction standards such as PEA, MEA, or EGAT standards. Ability to use design and calculation software such as AutoCAD, MIDAS, Idea StatiCa. Knowledge or ability to use 3D / BIM software (e.g., Revit, Bentley Substation) will be given special consideration. Experience in high voltage substation design will be given special consideration. Good technical English communication skills (ability to read/write Specification documents). Problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work with others.
