- Management
- Manage and develop annual plans for the Accounting and Finance Department in alignment with the organization’s strategic direction.
- Establish and improve departmental policies, procedures, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
- Design and execute individual staff development plans, ensuring continuous progress and alignment with organizational goals.
- Accounting
- Supervise and ensure the timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts, including the preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
- Review reconciliations and supporting financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee tax calculations and filings, including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax, in accordance with applicable tax laws.
- Set performance targets for the Accounting and Finance team, monitor results, evaluate performance, and provide regular feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Finance
- Manage cash flow and financial liquidity to ensure adequate working capital for smooth business operations.
- Monitor and control departmental expenditures to ensure alignment with the approved budget.
- Review and approve payment transactions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.
- Oversee the preparation and review of income reports, monthly financial reports, bank reconciliations, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure effective financial planning and control to support sustainable business operations.
- Procurement and Inventory Management
- Manage and develop procurement and inventory management policies consistent with organizational objectives.
- Oversee procurement and contracting processes to ensure transparency, fairness, and compliance with internal policies.
- Manage inventory levels of materials, equipment, uniforms, and safety supplies to ensure sufficient availability for operations.
- Supervise and verify requisition and disbursement processes for accuracy, transparency, and traceability.
- Review and evaluate subordinates’ performance, provide guidance, and implement corrective or preventive measures to ensure departmental goals are achieved.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (required). Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or MBA (preferred). 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles. Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or managerial position. Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and audit coordination. Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and tax regulations. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines. CPD license is required.
