Food Quality and Safety Specialist - Subcontractors - Assam

The Quality Headquarters of the Assam Nestlé Group is recruiting a Food Quality and Safety Specialist for a central and influential role in the field of quality and food safety management of purchased products.

What does the role include?

• Professional leadership of quality and food safety areas towards subcontractors.
• Accompanying, developing, evaluating, and approving new subcontractors in accordance with Nestlé and Assam requirements.
• Leading the implementation processes of Assam-Nestlé standards and requirements at subcontractors and suppliers.
• Planning, executing, and leading quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance audits.
• Risk management and assessment in quality and food safety E2E, managing follow-up on corrective and preventive actions, and leading continuous improvement processes.
• Improving consumer satisfaction, leading the handling of quality defects and food safety incidents.
• Expertise in working with digital tools - routine work in Nestlé systems.
• Leading training, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to suppliers, subcontractors, and internal interfaces.
• Working with multiple interfaces - business units, subcontractors, Assam plants, and Nestlé teams worldwide.

Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a relevant field.

• At least 3-5 years of experience in the field of quality and food safety in the food industry.
• Experience working with suppliers and subcontractors; experience in conducting audits and leading risk assessment processes.
• Deep familiarity with GFSI standards; full command of SAP and Office applications.
• Ability to work with digital systems and data analysis.
• Very high level of English.
• Willingness to travel to Group sites in Israel and travel abroad as part of routine work.
