Performance Counter Development Analyst (2G/5G) [IRTEYA]

Your tasks

• conduct deep analysis of operational KPIs and counters of the 2G/5G radio subsystem;
• maintain and develop required counters and KPIs;
• manage counter architecture and draft technical specifications for their development;
• identify anomalies in counter behavior under high loads;
• analyze drops in key KPIs (availability, retention, throughput) and prepare technical recommendations for the software development team to eliminate identified deviations;
• participate in solving complex technical problems during the development, integration, and test operation stages (working with logs, traces, and statistics);
• collect and coordinate counter architecture requirements with external customers, and defend proposed technical solutions and KPI calculation methodologies to the customer;
• prepare expert opinions and reporting documentation based on analysis results.

Requirements

What we expect from the candidate

• higher education in the field of telecommunications or radio;
• understanding of the architecture and operating principles of cellular networks (GSM/LTE/5G);
• knowledge of user plane and control plane protocol stacks;
• mandatory understanding of the nature of radio network KPIs (Accessibility, Integrity, Mobility, etc.) and the ability to work with counters (PM statistics);
• experience in implementing and/or operating a GSM/5G radio subsystem from at least one existing vendor;
• experience working with statistical collection systems (OMC/PM) or experience in radio subsystem optimization for any vendor (Huawei/Ericsson/Nokia);
• English proficiency at the level of reading and working with technical documentation, including 3GPP specifications.
