Leading company is looking for a Category Manager in the food sector

A leading company in its field is looking for a Category Manager in the cheese category:

• Managing relationships with suppliers in Israel and abroad and commercial negotiation on product prices and payment terms
• Deep familiarity with the category and competitors in Israel (as well as with trends and market players)
• Responsibility for sales and profitability, inventory levels, sales forecasts, and performing procurement accordingly
• Managing multiple interfaces within the organization such as: coordination with the sales team, logistics, finance, and contact with channel managers
• Creating a marketing and sales strategy for the category products, including plans for product promotion at the point of sale – shelf arrangement, visibility, displays, and promotions.
• Analyzing sales and inventory data and producing periodic reports
• Providing training and instruction to sales personnel regarding the products under their responsibility in coordination with the company's chef
• Full-time position at the company's offices in Emek Hefer

• Previous experience in the retail/distribution field, preference for previous experience with chilled/frozen food categories
• Significant advantage for specific involvement in the cheese field
• Ability to analyze and monitor performance
• Excellent interpersonal communication and the ability to work with many interfaces.
• Organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
• High level of English, including speaking and writing
• Significant soft skills - passion for the food field and specifically for cheeses
