Supplier Accounting Manager – SOX Compliance & Team Leadership – Brussels Region

As a Supplier Accounting Manager, you will play a key role within the international finance department. You are responsible for the financial closings of various companies, monitor SOX compliance, and lead a team of five employees within Supplier Claims.

Your responsibilities:

• Preparing and executing monthly, quarterly, and annual closings for four companies.
• Collecting, preparing, and analyzing financial and operational data.
• Calculating provisions.
• Posting and reversing journal entries.
• Reporting on the financial status to controlling and other specialized departments.
• Monitoring the correct application of VAT and Intrastat obligations.
• Handling inquiries regarding VAT and Intrastat.
• Collecting and preparing data for SOX reporting.
• Uploading reports and reconciliations into the designated SOX systems.
• Acting as the point of contact for internal and external auditors.
• Handling ad-hoc inquiries within the framework of audits.
• Providing functional and hierarchical management to a team of five employees.
• Following up on weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc supplier claims.
• Checking received credit notes and reconciling them with outstanding receivables.
• Analyzing and resolving significant discrepancies.
• Preparing monthly reports and overviews of outstanding claims.
• Collaborating with Asset Procurement, Sales Support, and Controlling.
• Participating in cross-departmental business projects.
• Several years of relevant experience within finance and accounting.
• Experience with financial monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Thorough knowledge of SAP FI.
• Knowledge of SAP MM and SAP S&D is an advantage.
• Experience with SOX compliance is a plus.
• Insight into controlling is desired.
• Experience in managing and developing a team.
• Very good oral and written knowledge of English.
• Knowledge of German is an advantage.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Structured, analytical, and independent working style.
• Willing to travel internationally once or twice a year.
• Possession of a valid passport for international business trips.
