Junior Accountant – AP/AR, GL & Compliance – Gent Region

As a Junior Accountant, you will support the daily accounting within an international SaaS scale-up. You will contribute to correct financial administration, reporting, and compliance.

Your responsibilities:

• Processing and checking supplier invoices, credit notes, and expenses.
• Following up on outstanding customer invoices.
• Reconciling customer and supplier accounts.
• Posting journal entries.
• Supporting the month-end closing.
• Performing bank reconciliations.
• Assisting with monthly and quarterly reporting.
• Supporting VAT returns, statutory reporting, and audits.
• Contributing to process improvement and automation.
• Bachelor's degree in accountancy, finance, or an equivalent field.
• Starter or a maximum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Good basic knowledge of general and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Good knowledge of Excel.
• Experience with NetSuite, SAP, Exact, or another ERP system is a plus.
• Fluent English; Dutch or another European language is an asset.
• Accurate, structured, and deadline-oriented.
• Interest in digital tools, AI, and process automation.
• Residing in Belgium and available to work regularly in Gent.
