Head of Accounting & Internal Control BeNe - Team Leadership, Financial Reporting & Compliance

About the company

For an international organization active in automation, electrification, and digitalization, we are looking for a Head of Accounting & Internal Control for Belgium and the Netherlands. You will lead multiple accounting teams and monitor correct financial administration, reliable reporting, and compliance with local regulations.

Your tasks

You combine operational leadership with a strategic vision. You make decisions on complex financial issues, strengthen processes and internal controls, and translate organizational objectives into clear priorities for your teams.

Your responsibilities

• Leading and coaching multiple accounting teams.
• Monitoring correct financial data and compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Overseeing the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, financial reporting, and statutory reporting.
• Independently assessing complex financial issues and making well-founded decisions.
• Proposing and implementing improvements in financial processes and policies.
• Determining the strategic direction of your teams, aligned with broader business objectives.
• Stimulating collaboration, operational quality, and long-term financial performance.
• You have demonstrable leadership experience and know how to motivate and guide large teams.
• You combine financial expertise with strong analytical skills.
• You can assess complex, non-routine problems and develop appropriate solutions.
• You think strategically and translate business priorities into concrete team objectives.
• You possess strong judgment and oversee the consequences of decisions for various departments.
• You stimulate collaboration and continuous improvement.
• You speak fluent English. Knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.
