Experienced Accountant

Within an international group committed to sustainable mobility, you will hold a key role as an Experienced Accountant in optimizing accounting processes and managing monthly closings. The Experienced Accountant function combines analysis, compliance, coordination with shared services, and collaboration with operational departments. As an Experienced Accountant, you are the primary contact for auditors and guarantee the quality of the group's financial operations.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Participate in the monthly closing process, including provisions and the resolution of supplier anomalies.
• Supervise balance sheet reconciliation campaigns in coordination with shared service centers.
• Prepare and analyze accounting entries related to employee payroll in Belgium.
• Supervise accounting entries related to financial hedging processed by the service center in India.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes.
• Prepare tax returns, including the consolidation and analysis of non-deductible expenses.
• Collaborate with operational departments (HR, treasury) to ensure smooth management of accounting processes.
• Act as the point of contact for auditors and respond to their requests.
• Degree in finance with a specialization in accounting or management control.
• Approximately 10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a matrix organization.
• Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and electronic invoicing systems.
• Good understanding of accounting closing processes and balance sheet reconciliation.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting and tax standards.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Good level of English; proficiency in Dutch is an asset.
• Ability to manage change and implement new processes with proactivity and resilience.
