Global Manager Purchasing and Logistics
For this assignment, we are looking for you with at least 10 years of experience in logistics at both an operational and strategic level. You have worked in an international industry with own production and extensive product flows. Fundamentally, you have a post-secondary education specializing in economics and logistics. You are accustomed to driving continuous improvements in daily work. You have a good understanding of balance sheets and income statements, production economics, and what drives costs. If you also have documented experience working towards the transport industry from an international perspective, it is a merit.
The assignment places high demands on your ability to build trust both with our suppliers and internally within our organization. As Ymer operates on a global arena, it requires that you are accustomed to working with international relations. To succeed in this assignment, we believe that as a person you should be self-assured, skilled at building relationships, and able to bring people along with you. You are well-anchored within the area of responsibility and, with that as a foundation, you have the ability to point out a direction. The assignment also requires that you have analytical ability. Our corporate language is English and you are proficient in English, both spoken and written. As Global Manager Purchasing and Logistics, you have the overall responsibility to ensure optimal logistics and product supply to and from our factories in Sweden, China, and the USA. This means that you take responsibility for establishing a strategy for the group and ensure that it is implemented so that we achieve set goals. Together with your team, you implement a common method, way of working, and tools so that each site works in an optimal manner. In your role as globally responsible, you are expected to work out in the operations to coach, support, and develop our organization at each site. In addition to your global responsibility, you are also daily responsible as logistics manager in our production facility in Ljungby.
In total, you have direct responsibility for a team of 6 people as well as indirect responsibility for 6 people located at the respective sites. Together with your team, you further develop Ymer Group's toolbox within the area. Global Manager Purchasing and Logistics reports to Chief Procurement Officer and is part of the Procurement management team. The place of work is Ljungby. The assignment requires some travel.
