For the organizational unit Einsatzsteuerung u. Harvest/Host-SEU, we are looking for the earliest possible date for the Hannover or Münster location for a

z/OS System Specialist for Software Development Environments (m/f/d)

As a department, we are responsible for the conception, updating, and optimization of the processes, applications, tools, and guidelines for the Host-Software-Entwicklungsumgebung (Host-SEU). Other focal points are the deployment control of OSPlus releases, Web and Windows bundles, as well as application responsibility for Harvest.

Tasks:

• Development and modernization of processes and tools for z/OS application development
• Participation in the development and documentation of handover/takeover processes for z/OS systems (in cooperation and coordination with production) to automate the software lifecycle
• Participation in the creation and updating of the conception and optimization of processes
• Creation of technical concepts and preliminary studies
• Conducting training for users of the host development tools
• Participation in cross-departmental tasks

Profile:

• Completed subject-related degree in computer science, mathematics, or physics, or comparable training and at least two to three years of subject-related professional experience
• Knowledge of z/OS, ISPF, JCL, Db2, and REXX
• Knowledge of Cobol, BMC AMI DevX Code Pipeline (formerly "ISPW") or the willingness to acquire these Cobol skills
• Good language skills in English
• Independent, solution-oriented working paired with high initiative, creativity, and strong communication skills
• Teamwork and social competence as well as curiosity and motivation to explore new topics and actively shape changes
