Laravel/React Developer
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain web applications using PHP/Laravel and React.js. Design, develop, and integrate secure RESTful APIs. Build reusable and responsive React components and interfaces. Design and optimize database structures, queries, and relationships. Integrate third-party APIs and external services. Develop Laravel Jobs, Queues, Events, Listeners, and scheduled processes. Implement secure authentication, authorization, validation, and application security practices. Develop reliable backend services for transaction-based applications. Implement appropriate error handling, logging, retry mechanisms, and data integrity controls. Write unit and feature tests and participate in application quality assurance. Troubleshoot and resolve application bugs, performance issues, and production incidents. Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards. Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate designs into functional interfaces. Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions. Optimize application and database performance. Participate in application deployment, monitoring, and maintenance on AWS. Maintain Git workflows, technical documentation, and development standards. Provide regular updates on development progress, blockers, and technical risks. Contribute to improving development processes, architecture, and engineering practices. Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced developers where required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, HND, or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum 4 years of professional software development experience. Strong hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel. Strong experience with React.js and JavaScript. Proven experience developing and maintaining production web applications and RESTful APIs. Strong knowledge of MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL. Good understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, clean code, and software architecture. Experience with Laravel queues, jobs, events, notifications, and task scheduling. Experience with Redis is an advantage. Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms is an advantage. Strong Git/GitHub experience. Experience integrating third-party APIs and webhooks. Experience with automated testing, particularly PHPUnit/Laravel testing, is an advantage. Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of software security and data integrity. Ability to work effectively within a development team. Strong communication and time-management skills. High attention to detail and commitment to software quality. Ability to independently analyze technical problems and implement appropriate solutions.
