Freight Forwarding Manager (m/f/d) (Head of Logistics)

For our Transport team in the Transport, Tec, Customs division at the Rangsdorf location, we are looking for support as a Freight Forwarding Manager (m/f/d) at the earliest possible date. What you do

• Overall responsibility for the operational management and organization of the transport division
• Steering, coordination, and continuous optimization of processes in: Disposition (route planning, deployment control, capacity planning)
• Transport service (ensuring timely and efficient deliveries)
• Pallet department (administration, steering, and control of load carrier flows)
• Ensuring smooth interface processes as well as close coordination with adjacent areas, especially Logistics
• Operational support and coordination with customers, including clarification of requirements, inquiries, and complaints
• Analysis, steering, and sustainable control of cost development in the transport division as well as identification of optimization potential

What you bring

• Several years of sound professional experience in the transport or logistics sector with a strong understanding of operational processes
• Ideally industry knowledge in the FMCG environment as well as experience in dealing with dynamic and high-volume goods flows
• Good written and spoken English skills for confident communication in an international environment
• Successfully completed vocational training or a degree with a focus on Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain Management, or comparable
• Initial leadership experience as well as the ability to steer, motivate, and further develop teams
• Confident, poised, and professional appearance when dealing with internal and external contacts
• Strong assertiveness paired with a solution-oriented and structured way of working
