Costing Estimator

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Costing Estimator to join our organization in the plumbing and sanitary sector. In this role, you will assist in calculating material volumes and preparing bids for commercial, residential, or industrial projects. This represents an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to acquire practical knowledge in construction design, blueprint analysis, and specialized cost estimation.

Key Responsibilities

• Tender Assistance: Help gather supplier quotes and assist in compiling data for bids, proposals, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Project: Project costing submission, presentation to and negotiation with client.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Higher Nitec in Architectural Technology or Civil & Structural Engineering Design or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: Candidates with or without experience are welcome to apply. Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered based on their qualifications, skills, and suitability for the position.

Training and on-the-job guidance will be provided to suitable candidates who do not have direct experience in estimation.

• Technical Skills: Basic familiarity with digital measurement software and a strong foundation in Microsoft Excel .
• Domain Knowledge: Basic understanding or reading blueprints is a strong advantage.
