Customs Operations Manager - With multimodal experience

We are looking for an Air and Sea Operations Manager with solid experience in international logistics, operational coordination, and team management, to ensure the correct execution of import and export shipments, guaranteeing operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high standards of customer service.

This position will be responsible for leading air and sea operations, optimizing processes, coordinating internal areas and strategic providers, as well as ensuring compliance with operational and commercial indicators.

Main Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate air and sea import and export operations.
• Guarantee compliance with transit times, processes, and quality standards.
• Lead the operational team ensuring productivity, follow-up, and development.
• Coordinate with customs agents, shipping lines, airlines, carriers, and logistics providers.
• Monitor end-to-end shipments, anticipating risks and resolving incidents.
• Ensure documentary and regulatory compliance for foreign trade.
• Implement operational improvements and process optimization.
• Follow up on operational KPIs and generate performance reports.
• Ensure correct billing and control of operational costs.
• Maintain constant communication with internal and external clients.
• Manage operational escalations and ensure timely attention.

Requirements:

• Completed Bachelor's degree or Engineering in Logistics, International Trade, International Business, Customs, or related.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight forwarding operations, with a focus on air and sea.
• Extensive track record in logistics, foreign trade, and customs.
• Expert in customs processes and procedures (BL revalidations, Airwaybills, prior inspection of goods, release of goods before fiscalized areas).
• Compliance with tariff and non-tariff regulations (customs law, Incoterms), tariff classification.
• Coordination of land, sea, and air transport.
• Extensive knowledge of Normas Oficiales Mexicanas (textile products, footwear, cosmetics, medical equipment).
• Solid knowledge of import and export processes.
• Experience working with shipping lines, airlines, and freight forwarders.
• Handling of ERP/TMS or logistics systems.
• Advanced English.
• Intermediate/advanced Excel.
