Development Engineer / Design Engineer Automotive (m/f/d)

This will be your job in the future

• Development and design of automotive connectors in the Data Connector area
• Design and configuration of turning, punching, and injection molded components using Pro-Engineer (Creo Elements Pro)
• Implementation of technical feasibility studies for new products
• Coordination of technical details with internal departments as well as external suppliers
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation throughout the entire product lifecycle
• Support in the transition of designs into series production
• Close cooperation with Research & Development, Quality Management, and Production
• Participation in international projects with automobile manufacturers

What you bring with you

• Completed studies in Maschinenbau, Feinwerktechnik, Kunststofftechnik, or comparable
• Alternatively, completed training as a Techniker:in with relevant professional experience in the field of design
• Sound knowledge in handling 3D-CAD systems such as Pro-Engineer (Creo Elements Pro)
• Experience in the development of connectors or similar components desirable
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as turning, punching, and injection molding
• Familiarity with methods for technical feasibility analysis
• Confident handling of MS Office as well as PDM/PLM systems (e.g., Windchill)
• English skills in speaking and writing
