Software Developer (m/f/d) at AIRBUS

Your area of responsibility

• Analysis of use cases and requirements in close coordination with stakeholders as well as derivation of software and GUI solutions
• Definition and implementation of software architectures including evaluation and selection of suitable technologies
• Development and integration of simulation models and software components (C++, if applicable Ada, Java/Eclipse) into complex systems
• Design and implementation of intuitive user interfaces (Qt/QML) as well as service-oriented architectures for simulations
• Execution of unit, integration, and system tests as well as support in verification and validation
• Application of modern development practices including DevOps, CI/CD, and automation of processes
• Analysis and resolution of software problems, documentation of design, interfaces, and tests
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and occasional coordination with customers

Your profile

• Completed studies in computer science, aerospace engineering, or a comparable field (Bachelor/Master/Diplom)
• Several years of professional experience (at least 3-4 years) in software development and integration
• Very good knowledge in at least one of the following main technologies: C++ (modern standards, e.g., C++17 or higher) or Java (including Eclipse environment)
• Experience in software design, architecture, and testing (unit, system, integration tests)
• Knowledge in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python or Bash) as well as confident handling of Linux environments and version control (Git)
• Very good English skills in speaking and writing, good German skills desirable
• Additionally, experience with Qt/QML for GUI development, DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins), aviation standards such as DO-178C or ARINC 653, simulation, or embedded avionics is an advantage
