Software Engineer for real-time simulation (m/f/d) for AIRBUS Defence & Space

Your area of responsibility

• Design and implementation of Synthetic Environment services in C++ taking into account the requirements of various stakeholders
• Design and implementation of software interfaces (APIs) between different services and external systems as well as development and maintenance of C++ software solutions to support operational and technical project requirements for realistic simulations
• Support for the software design of the service-oriented architecture of the Synthetic Environment based on different project requirements
• Execution of Continuous Integration and testing of the developed services as well as implementation of automated software integration tests within the CI pipeline
• Application of DevOps principles and tools as well as support of software verification activities
• Analysis and rectification of reported errors in distributed real-time simulation systems including asynchronous programming as well as documentation of software design, interfaces and tests

Your profile

• Degree in Computer Science or a comparable field of study
• At least 3 years of professional experience in software development with C++; experience in the development of distributed or service-oriented software systems is mandatory
• Very good knowledge of modern C++ as well as asynchronous programming
• Knowledge of CMake, Conan2, Git, Jenkins as well as Docker/Podman
• Experience with Synthetic Environments for training simulators is an advantage; interest in tactical or military flight simulators as well as software development and integration is desirable
• Business fluent English skills (min. B2)
