International Logistics Manager (M/F)

I am Alexis, Consultant at the Lognes office, and I am looking for an International Logistics Manager M/F for my client, a multi-site French industrial group, on a fixed-term contract (CDD) until July 2027, based in Vaires-sur-Marne (77).

As part of a temporary reinforcement of the team, you will join a growing industrial organization, with a role that is simultaneously operational, managerial, and cross-functional.

Reporting to the Group Management, you will take charge of international logistics and ensure the direct management of a team of 3 people.

Your main missions will be:

• Steering international logistics operations:
• supervision of import/export flows, mainly maritime and air, destined for or arriving from countries outside the European Union;
• coordination of various files and monitoring of operations from preparation to completion;
• securing customs, regulatory, and documentary aspects;
• control of documents related to international operations: invoices, Bill of Lading, packing lists, EUR.1, etc.;
• verification of the correct application of Incoterms and commercial agreements;
• analysis and resolution of complex international logistics issues.

• Management and support of the team:
• hierarchical management of 3 coordinators/supply planners;
• organization of activity and definition of priorities;
• implementation and facilitation of monitoring rituals;
• monitoring of KPI and improvement of their reliability;
• review and control of sensitive files;
• supporting employees in their skill development;
• transmission of best practices and development of their autonomy.
• Cross-functional coordination and improvement of practices:
• strengthening coordination between the Purchasing and Logistics teams;
• integration of logistics conditions from the consultation, tender, ordering, and contracting phases;
• identification of potential inconsistencies between physical, documentary, and financial flows;
• contribution to the reliability and structuring of existing processes;
• supporting internal stakeholders on issues related to international trade.

The objective will be, in particular, to secure international operations, strengthen rigor in file monitoring, and increase the team's skill level.

You have solid experience in international logistics / international trade, ideally acquired in an industrial or construction environment.

You master the issues related to import/export flows and have good knowledge of:

• customs regulations and procedures;
• international trade documentation;
• Incoterms and free trade agreements;
• international transport;
• maritime and air transport;
• notions of Ro-Ro, conventional/Breakbulk, security, and taxation;
• KPI monitoring and reporting.

You also have a successful first experience in team management and enjoy supporting your employees in their progress.

Beyond your technical skills, you are a rigorous, structured, and pedagogical person, capable of challenging existing practices. You know how to identify points of vigilance, ask the right questions, and provide pragmatic solutions.

You are comfortable with Excel, particularly with evolving monitoring tables, and master office and collaborative tools, notably Teams.

Fluent professional English is essential for this position.

Finally, you appreciate an environment where field presence and proximity to teams are important.
