Design Engineer in Industry (M/F)

Job Description:

I am Malick, a recruitment consultant for FED Engineering, and I am looking for an R&D Mechanical Design Engineer (M/F) in a permanent contract (CDI), near Évry-Courcouronnes (91000), for my client, who specializes in the design and manufacture of high technical value-added opto-mechanical solutions.

Reporting to the R&D design office, within an industrial SME of 60 people and in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary project team (optics, optical fiber, and mechanics), you will design innovative opto-mechanical products with high technical value-added, from the pre-project phase to industrialization. Your role: Participate in feasibility and design reviews and in the definition of technical product specifications.

• Design parts, sub-assemblies, and precision mechanics systems based on client specifications, while respecting cost, quality, and deadline objectives.
• Perform mechanical design studies using CAD, as well as drawings and associated technical files.
• Size and validate mechanical solutions based on RDM and thermal analyses.
• Ensure the design of robust systems adapted to constrained environments, particularly under vacuum.
• Participate in the validation, monitoring, and integration of outsourced parts.
• Take part in the assembly, fine-tuning, and optimization of prototypes and pre-series.
• Define and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes in connection with the industrialization and production teams.
• Design tooling, production means, and test benches for assembly lines.
• Contribute to the resolution of non-conformities and the continuous improvement of products during the industrialization phase.

Remuneration: between €55k and €65k gross annual fixed on 13 months depending on experience. Annual bonus up to €7k, meal vouchers, transport allowances, CSE. Process: You will first meet Malick from FED Engineering (if you are not already known to us), then after validation of your application, you will meet the HR Manager, the R&D Director, and the General Management.

Profile Description:

My client is looking for a Mechanical Design or Mechanical Engineering Engineer with at least 10 years of experience in the design of complex industrial products, ideally in high-precision environments. You are proficient in SolidWorks (indispensable) and have strong skills in precision mechanics, micromachining, materials science, and manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, additive manufacturing). Knowledge of a PLM tool would be a plus. Experience in demanding technical environments (optics, instrumentation, space, high-tech industry) and in the design of constrained systems (notably under vacuum) will be highly appreciated. You are autonomous, rigorous, and possess good analytical and synthesis skills. Your taste for innovation and your ability to work in a multidisciplinary team will be essential to succeed in this position. Proficiency in professional English is indispensable.
