Downstream Transport Manager M/F

Fed Supply is a firm entirely dedicated to temporary staffing and recruitment for Supply Chain professions - ADV, sales support, Import-Export, Purchasing, Procurement/Planning, Logistics and Transport.

We are looking for our client, a company in the distribution, logistics and transport sector: Transport Manager Position based in Tremblay-en-France. To be filled as a CDI My client manages the supply-chain in relation with the BUs, ensures procurement and delivers directly to dentists in France, Italy, Benelux and Germany. It also ensures the replenishment of secondary warehouses in Barcelona (for Spain and Portugal) and in Ashford (for the entire United Kingdom), which themselves deliver directly to dentists. Finally, it hosts an Export activity that serves partner distributors worldwide. My client sources from all over the world and often manages upstream transport.

In this context, the transport activity is:

• A major contributor to our customers' satisfaction, through the quality of the service provided, and therefore a strong component of loyalty, but also to the satisfaction of the teams (Customer Service, Logistics, Accounting, Management Control).
• An activity with a strong economic impact, with a total of more than €8M spent each year.

Therefore, my client is looking for its Downstream Transport Manager in charge of managing transport service providers:

• Monitoring the relationship and associated costs (contract, invoicing, dispute management), in a logic of continuous improvement, and in close relationship with our Supply Management Controller.
• Regular evaluation and challenging of performance (quality, lead time), compliance of the service (Medicines and Medical Devices, Dangerous Goods) and prices / Monitoring and driving improvement plans co-constructed with the providers and our Customer services.
• Deployment of the tools necessary for the Transport activity in our IT system (ERP, TMS, tracking...), business owner towards our DSI for Transport applications.

In particular, maintenance, development and enrichment of our Transport Intelligence tool (under Power BI).

• Market monitoring and identification of innovations and/or potential new partners.

NB: the focus is on downstream transport with close sharing of information with the Upstream Transport Manager (reporting to Supply).

Missions

The job holder will have 3 main missions:

In the short term, in France:

• Support the evolution of the Transport service within the framework of the startup of our new platform, by taking advantage of the new available functionalities.
• Continue the deployment of the 2026 transport plan, specifically targeting parcel delivery in France, deliveries to Switzerland and the implementation of a new carrier in Italy in close collaboration with the relevant BUs.

In the medium term:

• Continue the development of the TI platform in collaboration with the BI2O activity of the DSI.
• Analyze and concretize transport purchasing at the group scale (Spain, England, Italy) in order to centralize negotiation and reduce costs globally, without local impact.
• Support the Spain and England hubs in the deployment of a TMS and best practices.
• Make the Transport service an activity that can be valued by our Business Units to the client.

In the long term:

• Develop a Client service for Ordering Parties (internal or external), managing the ADV of the platform services (planning (transport plan), information reporting, processing of customer complaints or disputes of Logistics or Transport origin, organization of special transports, ...).

Job Characteristics:

• Profile: Master's degree or equivalent, with at least one successful first experience ideally in a similar position, in a logistics or distribution company, or in a leading company in Express transport.
• Languages: English mandatory, Spanish would be a plus
• Remuneration: 45 - 50 k€ over 13 months depending on profile; bonus up to 1 month's salary depending on performance; mutual insurance; supplementary pension.

Recruitment process:

• Pre-selection of 2+1 candidates from a pool of potential profiles based on application.
• The 2 shortlisted candidates are interviewed on-site with the Operations Director, then the Transformation Director and one or two BU Directors.
• The process includes a site visit and an exchange with peers from the SupplyChain team, and a meeting with a GM of an Ordering Party BU.
