Mechanical Testing Technician M/F

The industrial technical center, FCBA, is the only Institute in Europe that intervenes at all stages of wood valorization by providing its expertise to all forest owners and managers as well as to companies in wood processing, construction, and furniture.

FCBA, a scientific and technical institute, develops collective actions (research) and private actions (certification, training, consultancy, and testing) for industrial players in the forest, cellulose, wood construction, and furniture sectors.

Missions Within the laboratory team of the Aménagement espace de vie (AME) pole, you will carry out missions related to mechanical competence on furniture products. You will notably be responsible for:

• Participating in the handling and preparation of products necessary for testing
• Performing mechanical tests in accordance with applicable standards and protocols
• Writing test reports
• Respecting the requirements of a production organization under quality assurance according to the ISO 17025 standard.
• Depending on needs, you may also:
• Perform normative or pre-normative studies
• Provide training to our clients

Profile / Required Skills With a Bac+2 to Bac+3 education in a technical field (physical measurements, laboratory technologies, etc...), you have an English level of B1 or equivalent (TOEIC ≥ 550).

Qualities Rigor, organizational capacity, autonomy, involvement, technical curiosity, desire to progress, team spirit, interpersonal skills.
