Financial Engineering Project Officer for Collective Projects M/F

Centre Technique Industriel, FCBA is the only Institute in Europe that intervenes at all stages of wood valorization by providing its expertise to all forest owners and managers as well as to companies in wood processing, construction, and furniture.
FCBA, a scientific and technical institute, develops collective actions (research) and private actions (certification, training, consultancy, and testing) for industrial players in the forest, cellulose, wood construction, and furniture sectors.

The Direction de la Recherche et des Programmes - DRP - manages the strategy and the administrative and financial organization of all FCBA's collective actions.
Missions Within the DRP and in close connection with FCBA's project teams, you will guarantee the proper administrative and financial construction of collective projects and the major projects led by the institute, as well as their monitoring in accordance with forecasts. You will notably be responsible for:
- Supervising the administrative and financial setups of national and European projects, and more particularly:

- Identifying eligible expenditure items upstream
- Verifying funding rules
- Controlling and validating financial setups
- Verifying data entry in the document templates to be submitted
- Planning and coordinating the stages of major projects, from the definition of objectives to final delivery
- Ensuring the administrative and financial monitoring of European projects and major projects (financial statements, justifications, invoicing, interface with statutory auditors and European commissioners, monitoring of payments, reminders),
- and notably:

- Drafting consortium agreements and ensuring contracting with funders and partners
- Ensuring expenditure monitoring and preparing justifications
- Issuing invoices and monitoring the status of payments
- Providing statutory auditors with the justification elements for project expenditures
- Participating in consortium meetings during administrative and financial justification stages
- Ensuring administrative and financial relations between the institute and the partners or funders of collective projects
- Producing balance sheets and reports relating to a project portfolio, filling in dashboards, and preparing reports on collective activities
- Supporting project managers in the use of project management tools.
Profile / Required Skills
With a Bac+5 degree (business school, master's in project management), you have a successful experience of 5 to 8 years in the setup and budgetary and financial monitoring of projects, in a research context at a national and European scale.
You master office tools as well as project management and monitoring tools. Knowledge of European (Horizon Europe, FEDER, etc.) and national funding mechanisms is necessary.
A good command of English is indispensable; the practice of other languages is an asset.
Travel is to be expected to Champs sur Marne (77) and in Europe.
