VMware-Nutanix Virtualization and Storage Expert M/F
Mission Context: You are the technical expert in the fields of virtualization, storage, and backup - essentially the heart of a fleet of 8,000 servers (95% virtualized), 8 PB of data, and 2 interconnected datacenters. You will undertake consulting and expertise missions (category 4 of the market) with a high TJM, featuring a strong industrialization component. The scope of responsibility also includes Veeam backup and critical databases for an end-to-end infrastructure approach. Expert on-call rotation every 1 week out of 2 with the N3 Referent (approximately 26 weeks/year).
Your daily missions: Technical management of virtualization platforms: 150 VMware vSphere hosts, 10 Nutanix AHV hosts, 46 Vxrail nodes, 85 Nutanix nodes Performance optimization: tuning, sizing, capacity planning Conducting major migration and evolution operations (vSphere upgrades, migrations to AHV, Nutanix expansion) Design and implementation of Veeam backup strategies (8 PB to protect, 800 backup jobs) Architecture and operation of Hitachi and NetApp storage Industrialization: design of Ansible and AWX automation chains, infrastructure as code Technical audits, opportunity studies, definition of target architectures Support for cloud transformation and new technological foundations Skills transfer to the client's team Expert on-call rotation every 1 week out of 2 (alternating with N3 Referent)
Required technical skills: In-depth VMware expertise: vSphere, vSAN, vCenter, NSX Nutanix expertise: AHV, Prism, Vxrail (the complete Dell HCI) Hitachi storage (VSP, AMS) and NetApp (FAS, AFF) - expert level Veeam Backup & Replication - expert level Automation: Ansible, AWX, ideally Terraform Linux administration (Ubuntu, SUSE, Red Hat) Scripting: Python, PowerShell, Bash Cloud notions (AWS, Azure, GCP) appreciated
Profile sought: 10 years or more of experience in large-scale virtualized infrastructure Proven expertise in transformation projects and major migrations Availability for expert on-call duty (1 week out of 2) Certifications strongly appreciated: VCP-DCV, VCAP-DCV, VCDX (top), Nutanix NCP, NetApp NCDA Ability to write technical architecture documents, technical reports, and scoping notes Excellent written and oral communication, ability to lead technical meetings Fluent technical English
