Service Charge Accountant - Temporary Contract

We are working with a highly successful property management company who are seeking an experienced Service Charge Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis for an initial 6–8 week assignment.

This is a sole-charge position based in North West London, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the service charge accounting function across a varied property portfolio.

Rate: £30 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing service charge budgets and year-end accounts.
• Managing reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
• Overseeing sinking and reserve funds, including major works.
• Preparing service charge demands and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Handling client and tenant queries professionally and efficiently.
• Completing financial reporting and bank reconciliations.
• Reviewing supplier invoices and accurately coding expenditure.
• Producing financial reports for property managers and clients.

Key Requirements

• Experience within property management or property accounting.
• Hands-on Qube MRI experience – essential.
• Service charge accounting experience.
• Good Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Confidence communicating with clients and tenants.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines independently.
