*Job Summary*
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Sandblaster to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing metal surfaces through abrasive blasting to ensure optimal quality for manufacturing and fabrication projects. Your mechanical knowledge, attention to safety, and proficiency with hand tools and power tools will drive your success as you contribute to our high standards of craftsmanship.
*Duties*
- Operate sandblasting equipment safely and efficiently to clean and prepare metal surfaces for further processing
- Set up and adjust blasting media and equipment according to project specifications
- Inspect workpieces for surface quality, ensuring removal of rust, paint, or other contaminants
- Maintain a clean work environment by regularly cleaning equipment and work area
- Follow safety procedures diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators, gloves, and eye protection
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklifts or cranes when necessary
- Support other manufacturing processes such as assembly or machining as needed
*Experience*
- Previous experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge related to hand tools, power tools, welding, and basic math skills is advantageous
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus
- Ability to operate forklifts or cranes is beneficial but not mandatory; training can be supplied
- Knowledge of safety standards related to abrasive blasting and heavy machinery operation

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
