JUNIOR RESEARCHER ON THE ESGINE PROJECT

Based on Article 12 of the Statute, the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, announces a COMPETITION for the position of Project Associate - Junior researcher on the project in "ESGINE", project reference number: PK. 1.1.12.0208, applied for under the Call for grants "IRI 53 - Increasing the development of new products and services resulting from research and development activities" (reference number: PK.l . I . I 2), for a fixed period (predictably until September 1, 2028), with full-time employment, including a 6-month probationary period, at the Department of Engines and Transport Vehicles, within the Chair of Engines and Vehicles, 1 position (m/f).

Job description for the position of Junior Researcher on the project:

• participates in research and development activities on the project,
• performs other tasks within the scope of their work as determined by the project manager.

Applicants applying for the position must meet the following requirements:

• completed university graduate study or integrated university undergraduate and graduate study in the field of technical or natural sciences
• active knowledge of the English language in speaking and writing,
• computer literacy (knowledge of basic office tools),
• experience in programming and the application of artificial intelligence methods is an advantage.

In the application for the competition, applicants must state personal data: first and last name, residential address, telephone number and e-mail address, as well as the name of the job position (with the serial number) for which they are applying.

Applicants are obliged to submit with the written application evidence of meeting the competition requirements: curriculum vitae, proof of professional qualifications, proof of work experience (copy of the work booklet or electronic record or confirmation of data recorded in the registry of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute), proof of citizenship, and other attachments proving the fulfillment of special competition requirements.

Applicants who, based on special regulations, invoke the right of priority in employment, are obliged in the application for the competition to invoke that right and attach all evidence prescribed by special regulations for exercising that right. Such applicants achieve priority in employment compared to other applicants only under equal conditions.

For applicants who, in the application for the competition, invoke the right of priority in employment according to the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and their family members (NN 121/17), the list of evidence required to exercise that right is available at the link of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans https://gov.hr/moja-uprava/hrvatski-branitelji /zaposljavanje/prednost-pri-zaposljavanju/403.

Incomplete and untimely applications will not be considered. Applicants will be notified of the competition result within the period prescribed by law.

Competition documentation, i.e., data on candidates, is kept for three months from the date of concluding the employment contract with the selected candidate. After the expiration of the storage period, the documentation is destroyed, provided that each candidate may collect their documentation from the employer's office before the expiration of the storage period.

Persons of both sexes have the right to apply to the competition under equal conditions.

The deadline for submitting applications to the competition is 8 days from the publication of the competition.
