Production Manager - 70+ employees

Do you get energy from streamlining complex production processes and building a high-performing operational organization? Are you looking for a key role with a lot of autonomy in which you both set the strategic lines and make a difference on the floor? For a prominent industrial player in the Menen region, we are looking for a driven and analytical Production Manager.

What will your package of tasks look like?

• Strategic & Operational Leadership: Translating the long-term vision and site structure into concrete quarterly and annual plans for all production departments. Determining clear daily priorities and achieving operational objectives.
• Team Coaching & Empowerment: Direct leadership over the department heads and team lead level and indirect management of a team of 70+ employees on the floor. Coaching in ownership, structure, and problem-solving thinking. Building a safe (HSE) and transparent performance culture.
• Operational Excellence: Continuously driving efficiency, output (including cost per pick), and yield improvement (OEE) via Lean methodologies (WCM, Kaizen, 5S). Converting operational data and downtime analyses into structured improvement trajectories.
• Process & Structure Improvement: Streamlining production planning and process flows in close collaboration with Supply Chain. Standardizing working methods to minimize variability in the process.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Intensive coordination with Quality for root-cause analyses and with Maintenance for preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Budget & Data Responsibility: Monitoring production costs, analyzing deviations, and reporting on KPIs and yield figures to the Plant Director.

What do we expect from you?

• Education & Experience: Master's degree (Industrial Engineer or equivalent) supplemented with at least 5 to 10+ years of experience in a similar leadership role within a production environment (experience in the textile sector is a plus).
• Leadership: Pragmatic, approachable, and no-nonsense style. You combine persuasiveness with strong coaching skills to elevate large teams (70+ FTEs) and processes to a higher level.
• Analytical & Hands-on: Strong affinity with data, KPIs, and cost structures. You focus on improving systems instead of fighting symptoms.
• Language Skills: Fluent command of French and strong professional knowledge of English. Knowledge of Dutch is a major asset due to the cross-border character of the Menen region.
