Production Leader

Are you a born linchpin who bridges the gap between office strategy and floor execution? Do you get energy from managing operational teams, streamlining the daily production flow, and continuously raising the level of efficiency? For a prominent international company in the region of Moeskroen, we are looking for a driven and communicative Production Leader.

What will your package of tasks look like?

• Operational Coordination: You translate overarching departmental goals into a tight weekly and daily schedule and continuously monitor the progress of the production lines.
• Process Improvement on the Floor: You introduce and anchor Continuous Improvement initiatives (including Lean and 5S) to limit waste and increase throughput.
• People-Oriented Leadership: You provide direct leadership to the operational team (approximately 70 employees via your team leads). You support them in their daily operations, motivate them, and stimulate their professional growth.
• Collaboration & OEE: You work closely with Technische Dienst and Quality to quickly resolve technical bottlenecks and maximize machine efficiency (OEE).
• Safety & Quality: You actively ensure that all safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental norms are strictly adhered to.

What do we expect from you?

• Education & Experience: You possess a master's degree (e.g., Industrieel Ingenieur) or have reached this level through at least 10 years of thorough practical experience within an industrial production environment.
• Leadership Profile: You are an approachable leader who enjoys being among your people. You are decisive, can handle resistance, and know how to support change positively.
• Analytical Insight: You are number-oriented and make decisions based on objective data, yield figures, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Languages: Given the cross-border region, you speak excellent Frans and can express yourself fluently in Engels. Basic knowledge of Nederlands is a clear plus.
