ROLE PURPOSE

You will own the reliability of our production trading systems and the infrastructure they run on. You will work closely with traders, our in-house and vendor developers, clients, SGX colocation operations and service providers to resolve issues quickly and deliver changes safely.

OUR ENVIRONMENT

  • Distributed, message-based architecture with services written mainly in Go.
  • Desktop trading applications built on Electron.
  • Infrastructure across SGX colocation, Microsoft Azure and client premises.

KEY PROJECTS IN YOUR FIRST 12 MONTHS

  • Build out our new SGX colocation rack: equipment installation, fiber cross-connects, connectivity testing and go-live, using a newly completed leased line from our key client office.
  • Lead the infrastructure and testing side of our migration to ITCH, including industry test sessions and production cut-over.

Infrastructure management

  • Set up, maintain, tune and monitor servers, operating systems, networks, storage, internet connectivity and alerting across SGX colocation, Azure and client premises.

  • Troubleshoot colocation and connectivity issues, working with SGX colocation operations, network providers, vendors, clients and internal teams through to resolution.
  • Maintain network diagrams, circuit records and vendor contacts. Support capacity planning, security, backup and recovery.

Release quality and delivery

  • Coordinate functional and non-functional work across in-house and vendor developers using practical Agile practices.
