Mechanical Engineer for Helicopter Maintenance Design (d/m/w) (Engineer - Aerospace Engineering)

This position is long-term oriented and offers you entry via temporary employment (Arbeitnehmerüberlassung). Our client values your potential reinforcement and has already foreseen the possibility of a later permanent position.

Mechanical Engineer for Helicopter Maintenance Design (d/m/w) Your tasks:

• Maintainability analyses to verify the accessibility and feasibility of maintenance tasks as well as compliance with maintenance guidelines for helicopters - military
• Ergonomic and Human-Factors analyses to reduce maintenance errors and risks to personnel and helicopters
• Influencing system design and system integration to ensure compliance with maintenance guidelines and requirements
• Proposing alternative design and integration solutions to improve maintenance operations and minimize the risk of human error
• Participation in the development of maintenance procedures and their demonstration on the helicopter for validation
• Maintenance Time Analysis to evaluate different system designs with regard to the resulting maintenance effort for the customer
• Investigation and analysis of serious incidents (in connection with maintenance)
• Creation of technical reports (Technical Notes) and presentations
• Presentations to internal stakeholders and customers
• Leading and responsibility for HF- Maintainability activities
• Project management (cost, time, quality) including risk identification and minimization
• Management of subcontractors

Exchange with various departments of the Design Office and the Service-Support organizations

Your qualifications:

• completed degree in engineering, ideally Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Aerospace Engineering, or otherwise acquired equivalent qualification and professional experience
• good knowledge of CATIA V5
• knowledge of helicopter systems
• knowledge in the field of ergonomics is desirable
• business fluent English skills
• German and/or French skills are an advantage
• independent and organized way of working
• sense of responsibility
• very good communication skills
• hands-on mentality
