We are looking for a reliable and motivated employee (m/w/d) to strengthen the team for our renowned, international, and innovative client from the aerospace industry at the Augsburg location.

Manufacturing Engineer Composite (m/w/d) Your tasks:

• Responsibility for the interface function between Engineering and Manufacturing or Supply Chain in the product creation process
• Technical leadership function in development projects regarding the manufacturing process
• Coordination of development tasks with specialist departments such as Design, Work Preparation, Metrology, NC-Programming, Manufacturing Development, as well as Purchasing and Procurement Assurance
• Independent assurance of manufacturability and economic design (Design to Cost) during technical releases, feasibility studies, and change requests
• Responsibility for manufacturability and testability in new projects, both for internal manufacturing and the external supply chain
• Development of efficient production lines in close cooperation with Industrialization
• Introduction and advancement of newly developed manufacturing processes and integration into existing production workflows
• Participation in offers and execution of cross-departmental calculations with regard to RC/ NRC costs
• Synchronization and ensuring the conformity of all standards in the construction documents with customer requirements for both internal and external manufacturing

Your qualifications:

• Completed studies as Dipl.-Ing. (TU/FH) or Bachelor/Master (m/w/d) in the field of Production Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Master Craftsman (Technician) with several years of professional experience or similar
• Very good knowledge in product and manufacturing development, preferably of aerospace products
• Experience regarding manufacturing and testing technologies for the aerospace industry
• Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes for fiber composite components such as Infusion, Fiber Placement, and sandwich components
• Sound knowledge in the field of polymer chemistry
• Knowledge in the field of textile preform technology is an advantage
• Knowledge in REFA or Six Sigma is desirable
• Very good knowledge of PLM systems and change management
• Experience with CAD, technical drawings, and component tolerances
• Very good written and spoken English skills
• Moderation and teamwork skills
• Independent, structured, and goal-oriented way of working
