Our opportunity:

As part of our development, we are currently looking for an experienced Corporate M&A Lawyer, with at least 4/5 years of previous experience, for our Paris office (M/F).

Your main responsibilities:

Under the responsibility of the Partners, you will supervise a team of associates acting as Corporate and M&A legal counsel, and in Business Law more generally.

You will specifically work on acquisition, disposal, joint-venture projects, merger operations, and other group restructurings, as well as all associated issues (e.g., top-level structuring, governance, liability), in both domestic and international contexts.

You are able to manage and coordinate the main aspects of these projects and operations (assistance in structuring and defining the negotiation strategy of the operation, management and monitoring of the operation process, negotiation and drafting of deeds, coordination of EY teams and client teams), under the supervision of a partner.

You will work on these matters in close liaison with our Tax Law and Labor Law teams and, depending on the operations, teams from other EY service lines (e.g., Lead M&A, Corporate Finance, Consulting).

You will also be required to supervise and train junior members of the team.

Your skills to succeed:

In order to integrate into our teams and evolve successfully within them, you possess the following key skills:

  • Holder of the CAPA after postgraduate training in Business Law and/or from a top business school with a legal option, LL.M, or Master 2 DJCE with a specialization in Business Law;
  • At least 5 years of previous experience within the "Business Law/Corporate/M&A" department of a Law Firm and/or the Legal Department of a company, which has allowed you to develop a very good knowledge of the processes governing this type of operation and good technical mastery in their legal structuring and negotiation;
  • First successful experience in team management;
  • Perfect mastery of English, both spoken and written - professional experience abroad would be an asset.
