Embedded C/C++ Lead - Greentech M/F

With around forty passionate employees, this young innovative company is disrupting the logistics and e-commerce sector thanks to eco-responsible connected solutions. Their mission is high-impact: drastically reduce waste and the carbon footprint related to disposable packaging through intelligent, reusable, and highly secure embedded technology. In this R&D-focused environment where decision cycles are short, technical innovation serves sustainability. To support the very large-scale deployment of their flagship product, the technical team must now structure and sustain its embedded software roadmap.

Your future missions

Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, you will take technical leadership of the embedded pole. You will hold a central role, combining high-level expertise, architecture, and mentoring a team of 3 to 5 engineers in a very "hands-on" manner:

• Drive firmware quality and lifecycle: you guarantee the long-term stability of the product in production throughout its entire usage cycle (logistics, transport, end user) and manage the specification, validation, and release phases;
• Take ownership of update campaigns (OTA): you design and execute remote deployment strategies on the fleet of active devices (progressive rollouts, secure rollbacks, proactive monitoring);
• Master physical and consumption constraints: you finely optimize energy management (sleep/wake cycles, radio management) and efficiently interface sensor pipelines to guarantee maximum reactivity without losing critical events;
• Define interface contracts and Cloud integration: you supervise the behavior of network stacks and structure data exchanges with the backend (telemetry schemas, IoT Shadows);
• Instill innovation on next-generation hardware: you actively participate in hardware architecture choices (MCU/SoC, connectivity choices, memory) and lead advanced POCs, particularly around embedded inference;
• Support and grow the team: you share your best practices, challenge specifications with the product team, and promote the use of generative AI tools as daily accelerators (debug assistance, documentation, driver generation).

Profile:

What you bring You have a minimum of 7 years of experience in firmware development, including at least 2 years in a Tech Lead role or as a major technical referent on a connected industrial product successfully deployed in real-world conditions.

Technical expertise:

• Essential mastery of C/C++ development oriented towards firmware and production architectures
• Solid experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS such as Zephyr or FreeRTOS)
• Common practice of low-level debug (JTAG/SWD, logic analyzers, crash dumps) and power profiling
• Proven expertise in wireless connectivity protocols (BLE or LTE-M)
• Rigorous management of hardware resource constraints (static RAM/Flash allocation, battery optimization)

Appreciated skills (The little "+"s):

• Good knowledge of the AWS IoT Core ecosystem (IoT Jobs, MQTT/TLS)
• Scripting skills (Python) for test bench automation and integration into CI/CD pipelines under Git
• Sensitivity to complex sensor integration (MEMS, low-power display) and reading electronic schematics
