Externatic is supporting a fast-growing international player in the recruitment of a permanent Systems and Networks Engineer - Infrastructure Project Manager M/F.

The interest of this position: you do not leave the technical side to become a project manager 100% of the time. You maintain technical proximity to the infrastructures, with approximately 50% operational intervention and 50% steering and coordination.

Within a constantly evolving DSI, you will work on structuring projects: migrations, deployment of new servers, supervision, cybersecurity, evolution of infrastructures, or supporting business units.

You will join an international, transforming environment in which the DSI plays an important role in the reliability, security, and evolution of the information system.

The missions:

Within the infrastructure team, your daily routine alternates between technical expertise and steering:

• Administer and maintain Linux environments (and a bit of Windows), participate in production releases and the MCO of infrastructures,
• Contribute to cybersecurity remediation actions, monitoring obsolescence, and improving supervision,
• Lead infrastructure projects: migrations, deployments, technical evolutions, compliance,
• Gather requirements from business units and translate technical challenges into suitable solutions,
• Coordinate internal teams, service providers, and partners, notably outsourced DBA,
• Prepare and lead project committees, monitor actions, deadlines, and commitments,
• Analyze technical impacts and ensure reporting to stakeholders,
• Provide a consulting role to business teams and contribute to the evolution of the SI, etc.
• The position is more Build-oriented than Run, with approximately 50% technical and 50% steering / coordination.

PROFILE

What you bring:

You have solid experience (+/- 10 years ideally) in systems and networks and now wish to develop your project dimension.

You are a generalist profile, comfortable with understanding an SI as a whole and possessing solid foundations in infrastructure, systems, and networks, with a Linux dominance. Equivalent environments or technologies are also considered.

Your experience allows you to manage several subjects in parallel, to prioritize, and to take leadership on projects involving many interlocutors.

You are recognized for your interpersonal skills, your curiosity, your sense of service, and your ability to simplify technical subjects for business interlocutors.

Professional written and spoken English is expected, as the company operates in an international context.

Very occasional travel within Europe may be required.
