Architectural Drafter

Job Summary

Gather project requirements and prepare detailed architectural drawings for interior designs. Update designs based on client feedback and coordinate with site supervisors. Prepare cost estimates and technical reports under architect supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze project requirements and specifications from clients, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate design development
• Create detailed architectural and interior design drawings from rough sketches and specifications for client presentations
• Revise and update design drawings based on new information or client requests, submitting multiple versions for final approval
• Coordinate with Joinery site superintendent or supervisor to communicate changes and update drawings accordingly
• Prepare cost estimates, contracts, bidding documents, and technical reports for projects under the supervision of an architect
• Communicate effectively with clients and contractors to facilitate project progress and resolve issues

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture with drafting experience in Interior Fitting Out, Architectural Works, and Structural Works
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing architectural drawings
• Minimum of 3 years of working experience in Interior Renovation Works or related fields
