Junior Certification Engineer M/F

Reporting to the Certification department and the Head of Certification, you will join a team composed of three certification engineers. In this role, your main missions will be:

1) Draft technical certification and qualification documents for projects under development, under the supervision of the Certification Manager.

• Participate in the development of the certification strategy to ensure flawless product compliance while optimizing the quantity of physical tests.
• Participate in the selection of "worst case" scenarios for test campaigns by drafting associated technical arguments and justifications: numerical simulation results, dimensions from CAD, load calculation files at interfaces...

2) Guarantee compliance with Flammability & mechanical strength requirements for all products

• Draft Mechanical & Fire Test Plans, based on regulatory requirements (aeronautical standards and customer specifications) by analyzing the compliance demonstrations to be provided for all components constituting the Seat.
• Participate in Static, Dynamic & Fire test campaigns
• Analyze test results and draft the associated Test Reports.

3) Be the primary contact for the Design Office regarding:

• Deviations & Design Evolution Requests (DER), in order to identify the impacts of these modifications and provide the necessary justification (MODIF) to cover all regulatory requirements.
• Maintain all associated databases.

Your profile: You are a graduate of an engineering school specializing in aeronautics (ENAC, INSA, ISAE-SUPAERO or equivalent) and have initial experience in aeronautical certification. Throughout your career, you have worked in an environment related to certification, cabin interior design, aeronautical seats, or within a Part 21J approved organization. You master the main standards and regulations of the sector, notably AC 25.562, AS8049, CS/FAR 25/27/29, as well as the requirements of Part 21 and Part 145 regulations. You also possess knowledge in fire certification (CS 25.853) as well as ETSO C39 and ETSO C127 qualifications, and are familiar with the ETSO certification process. Proficiency in English is indispensable to evolve in this international environment. Proficiency in Italian would be an additional asset.
