Our customer is one of the established suppliers to the aerospace industry and impresses through technological precision that meets the highest demands for safety and quality. For the location in the Altenburg region, we are looking for a committed personality as a Calculation Engineer (m/f/d).

Your tasks:

• Development and evaluation of design solutions taking into account suitable materials and manufacturing processes
• Performance of static calculations in the field of structural mechanics to assess the load capacity and service life of individual components
• Checking and approval of 3D models and technical drawings
• Evaluation of deviations regarding their impact on the function, safety, and service life of the components
• Planning and monitoring of engineering tests to validate calculation methods as well as determination of material characteristics

Your profile:

• Completed studies in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Experience in the design of components made of composite materials or metal
• Sound knowledge in FE simulation and strength calculation, especially with PATRAN and NASTRAN
• Good English skills in speaking and writing
• Analytical, structured, and independent way of working
