Senior Microsoft Data Engineer M/F

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Integrated into Sébastien's team, which leads the Data activity at Expertime (30 people), your mission is to deliver data projects. Expertime was the 1st French partner to evangelize this technology through Microsoft's Fabric in a Day events and wishes to continue its investment by strengthening its teams with people who are passionate and convinced by this new technological vision proposed by the publisher Microsoft. As a data engineer specializing in Microsoft Fabric M/F, you will intervene in projects that address client challenges in data exploitation, and notably:

• Analyze and qualify the "business" needs and issues of our clients
• Participate in the definition and implementation of Data solutions adapted to project contexts
• Collaborate with Business teams in their work of identifying and documenting data
• Collaborate with Consultants and Data specialist Engineers on projects and work towards the quality of their achievements and deliverables
• Collaborate across all data activity domains: BI and Analytics, Big Data, Data Science, and AI
• Collaborate transversely with other expertise areas (UX/UI, software and technical architects, cloud and DevOps experts) in order to design and deliver the most adapted and high-performance solutions
• Work in an agile context and champion innovative approaches

In parallel, you will participate in the skill development of employees and act as the interface between business teams (internal and external). Technical stack you will encounter at Expertime: Azure and its many components (Azure data factory, Azure database, Azure analysis services...), Power query, Power BI, SQL, and of course Microsoft's latest "Fabric".

SEARCHED PROFILE:

A true DATA enthusiast and graduate of an engineering school, you have more than 8 years of experience in an IT environment, in a senior position in a Data and Microsoft environment (Team Lead, Architect, or Senior Consultant).

• Mastery of Onpremise and Cloud Data architectures, SQL, an ETL tool (Azure Data Factory or others), and Data Visualisation.
• Mastery of security, Infrastructure, and network issues in the Cloud
• Design, modeling, and optimization of databases
• Knowledge of the Azure environment, MSBI, SQL Server, or AI concepts (Python, R, or Machine Learning)
• You like not staying with what you already know and always learning through self-training, technological monitoring, training, or participation in Tech community events
• Your curiosity leads you to perform daily monitoring
• You are open to exchanges, capable of understanding a business need and translating it into a technical need. Your sense of client relations is regularly highlighted professionally
• You like working in a team while being autonomous in your functions. You like intervening simultaneously on several projects with different teams
• You possess at least technical English (reading/writing documents in English)
• You are comfortable in written and oral communication, and you demonstrate pedagogical qualities and relational adaptability to convince

Work environment:

• Full-time permanent position (CDI), in Viroflay (accessible by public transport and/or bike),
• Fixed salary + individual and collective variable (package of 55 to 70k€ depending on experience), profit-sharing bonus,

• 3 days of teleworking possible per week (hybrid and customizable rhythm),
