As a Senior Strategic Buyer within Logistics, you will have a central role in the work of developing and securing the company's supplier base within transport and logistics services. You will work at the intersection of business, procurement, and supply chain, where you are responsible for driving sourcing initiatives, developing supplier strategies, and creating long-term value for the business. The role offers a broad international network and close collaboration with both internal operations and global suppliers.

About the role

We are now seeking an experienced strategic buyer within logistics who wants to be part of developing the transport and logistics solutions of the future. In this role, you will become an important part of a global procurement organization with responsibility for developing and managing supplier relationships within transport and logistics services.

You will work closely with internal operations and external suppliers to ensure competitive solutions with a focus on cost, quality, sustainability, and delivery capability. You will have the opportunity to work in an international environment with many contact surfaces where procurement plays a central role in the business's development and success.

Your responsibilities

As a Senior Strategic Buyer, you are responsible for driving and developing procurement work within the logistics area. The role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure that procurement strategies and business goals go hand in hand. Your main tasks include:

• Leading and driving sourcing projects and tenders from analysis and request for quotation to negotiation and contract signing.
• Developing and implementing category strategies and supplier strategies.
• Building, developing, and managing business relationships with suppliers and internal operations.
• Conducting market analyses and identifying business opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
• Preparing and conducting commercial negotiations.
• Evaluating supplier performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Responsible for contract management and ensuring compliance with agreed terms.
• Preparing analyses and decision support to assist the business in strategic decisions.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with functions such as logistics, production, technology, and finance.

Your profile

We are looking for you who have experience in strategic procurement and who thrive in a role where business acumen, analysis, and collaboration are in focus. You have a strong commercial understanding, a good ability to build relationships, and experience in driving complex procurement projects in an international environment. To succeed in the role, you need to be able to combine a strategic perspective with a structured and results-oriented way of working.

We would prefer if you have

• Academic education in procurement, logistics, economics, technology, or equivalent.
• Experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, or category management.
• Documented experience in negotiations and supplier management.
• Good understanding of supply chain and logistics-related services.
• Experience in project management and driving complex tasks with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical ability and experience working data-driven.
• Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with Coupa or similar procurement systems is meritorious.
