Competence Lead Controls (HW/SW) Product Engineering

About the role

As Competence Lead Controls, you are responsible for developing, standardizing, and improving working methods, processes, and technical solutions within the control and automation area. You function as a technical expert in PLC-programming and electrical design while simultaneously driving competence development and global improvement initiatives. Your main tasks: Be a technical expert in control systems, PLC-software, and electrical hardware. Ensure that technical standards, quality requirements, and best practice are followed globally. Drive harmonization and standardization of processes, tools, and working methods within Product Engineering. Define requirements for product development and further development of the company's engineering tools. Coach and develop colleagues through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and competence development initiatives. Initiate and lead global projects within standardization and improvement of controls engineering. Collaborate closely with product development, software teams, and other cross-functional groups. Follow technical trends and innovations to ensure that the business remains at the forefront.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who combines deep technical competence with strong leadership and the ability to create engagement in international teams. We believe you have: A university or civil engineering degree in electrical engineering, automation, or equivalent. Several years of experience from similar roles within industrial automation, control systems, or logistics automation. Good knowledge of PLC-programming, automation systems, and electrical design. Experience in driving improvement and standardization work in an international environment. Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with various stakeholders. Experience in project management and handling multiple parallel activities. Fluent English in speech and writing.
