Mission Context As part of a long-term mission in the defense and shipbuilding sector, we are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer (M/F). You will work on electrical studies during the preliminary design phase and the business phase, in accordance with current references and regulations. You will also serve as a technical referent and participate in the management of design activities. In the preliminary design phase, write the technical specifications of the vessel in your specialty, according to the specifications.

Size and define the equipment related to your technical function.

Prepare quotes based on preliminary design studies, in collaboration with business managers.

Generate the schedule for the team of drafters and define their workload.

Technically validate the purchase of equipment from subcontractors and suppliers.

Validate the technical compliance of the design files generated by your team.

Achieve the objectives set by business managers regarding costs and deadlines in your specialty.

Follow up on the approval of plans and documents with control bodies, from a technical point of view and according to current regulations.

Establish and evolve the standards and business guides associated with your specialty.

Propose improvement solutions allowing for the reduction of mass and/or cost, notably through value analysis.

Research innovations by proposing consistent adaptations and modifications, compatible with each other as well as with the defined objective, with technical and hierarchical validation.

Cooperate with other technical functions.

Participate in design meetings as a technical referent.

Engineer-level training and technical skills, or significant experience as an experienced electrical designer.

Experience in electricity applied to shipbuilding.

Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Knowledge of the 3DExperience software will be appreciated.

Rigor and strong interpersonal skills.

Real managerial abilities to ensure the function with various internal and/or external stakeholders.

Within the framework of regulatory constraints related to the defense sector, the mission requires meeting the access conditions applicable to the activities concerned, particularly regarding French nationality (or a national of a European country) and criminal background checks.
