Mission Context As part of a program to build a new industrial plant internationally, planned for the 2028-2032 period, we are looking for an experienced profile to intervene in the upstream phase of needs analysis and pre-FEED (Front-End Engineering Design).

The mission consists of conducting an in-depth audit of two existing production plants, one in France and the other in North America, in order to identify best practices, areas for improvement, and the needs of various departments.

The objective is to collect and formalize all technical, functional, and operational requirements into a specification document that is as complete as possible, in order to secure the future engineering, design, and construction phases of the new plant.

  • Conduct a functional and operational audit of two existing production plants located in France and North America.
  • Analyze the installations, operating methods, and existing organizations to identify best practices, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Organize and facilitate working groups with all relevant departments, including:
  • Maintenance
  • Operations and production
  • Industrial processes
  • Air treatment
  • Conduct interviews and working meetings, notably remotely via Teams, to elicit the needs, constraints, and expectations of each department.
  • Challenge stakeholders to identify explicit and implicit needs, anticipate issues, and guarantee the exhaustiveness of requirements.
  • Collect, analyze, and consolidate feedback from the two existing sites.
  • Identify the technical, functional, organizational, and operational requirements to be integrated into the design of the future plant.
  • Define industrialization needs and requirements related to production processes.
  • Develop and structure a complete and detailed specification document (CDC), integrating the needs of all stakeholders.
  • Write the User Requirement Specifications (URS) to formalize user requirements.
  • Participate in the pre-FEED phase and contribute to the definition of the technical orientations of the future industrial site.
  • Ensure the consistency and exhaustiveness of requirements to limit omissions, late modifications, and risks during subsequent project phases.
  • Facilitate exchanges between different professions and support the convergence of needs toward common specifications.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of senior experience in industrial engineering, production plant design, or complex industrial project management.
  • Significant and proven experience in the pre-FEED phase on international production plant construction projects.
  • Experience in industrial process environments, ideally in the chemical, cosmetic, agri-food, or similar processing industries.
  • Solid experience in auditing existing industrial installations, functional analysis, and identification of operational needs.
  • Proficiency in writing technical specifications and User Requirement Specifications (URS).
  • Good understanding of industrial challenges related to processes, maintenance, operations, production, and utilities, particularly air treatment.
  • Ability to analyze existing organizations and installations to derive recommendations applicable to a new construction.
  • Excellent skills in workshop facilitation and coordination of multidisciplinary working groups.
  • Charisma, leadership, and a strong ability to draw out information from various stakeholders, including regarding non-formalized needs.
  • Ability to ask the right questions, challenge existing practices, and elicit the expectations of each profession.
  • Excellent listening, analysis, synthesis, and requirement formalization skills.
  • Global vision of industrial projects and ability to anticipate the impacts of choices made in the upstream phase on the design and construction stages.
  • Autonomy, rigor, diplomacy, and the ability to unite stakeholders with sometimes divergent interests.
  • Experience in multicultural environments and international industrial projects.
  • Professional English is essential for conducting technical exchanges with international teams.
